The rebuilding project of Hiyoshi Memorial Hall, built in 1958. The site is located at the end of a ginkgo tree-lined avenue from Hiyoshi Station. The first and second school buildings on both sides were established when the campus first opened (1934 and 1936), designed by Sone Chujo Architectural Office. The new Commemorative Hall is designed in harmony with the existing classical school buildings. The sixteen pillars arranged symmetrically against the axis of the tree line, create a memorial atmosphere. The slender 750mm square pillars convey a modern look emphasized in contrast with the round pillars of the original school buildings, creating a majestic and refreshing atmosphere in the piloti area. The arena seating a maximum of 10,000 people, is equipped with a wide stage extending 60 meters placed as the centerpiece of the ceremony surrounded by spectator seating. The main bleachers facing the stage, have a cantilevered structure with the upper seats protruding approximately 9 meters, ensuring a good view from the lower seats.
